Now, let us get this straightened out.. The American judical system has apparently taken an interest in allowing stupidity to override the notion of "common sense." How, you may be asking? Take for example the following incidents:
People, leave the sexual preferences of other's alone and attend to your spouse instead.......
2) A woman wins 3.2 million dollars for having burned herself with a cup of coffee from McDonald's. She states that the coffee did not have a warning label indicating how hot the liquid was, as well as proving that the coffee machine within McDonald's was producing coffee hotter than the normal temperature.......What Iwant to know if she had ever had a cup of hot coffee before, and if she had or has some neurological deficiet which prevented her from feeling the heat of the coffee through the cup. Let's face it....EVERYONE above the age of 15 (just to give her save measure) knows that coffee is normally served, how can I say this.......HOT! Do you really need someone in a take out window telling you that hot coffee carried between the legs while driving can burn if spilled..........? I bet her warm showers must be a bitch...........
3) A man burns his face because he opened a bag of microwave popcorn and scarred his face with the vapour. He alleged that no warning sign was present on the bag to signify the possible escape of heat. Do these people have a problem understanding that hot substance tend to give off heat and vapour at certain points, or does that go beyond their commen sense......?
4) This one I know fully about because I live close to the incident, though I must admit that rumors can distort truths. A man escorts his child, in car, to a school bus pick up zone. The father parks on the other side of the street, across from the bus. He tells his child to get down and cross over to the bus, while he remains in the car. The child, being like many children, runs through without looking both ways, and a high school student driving too fast ran the child over in mid-street. The father is suing the kid for killing his child, and the school because the school bus did not have its red lights and "Stop" letter out. Understandable. The parents of the children who saw the incident are suing the school because their children are now having nightmares from an incident they saw and the school could have prevented (they want the school to pay for psychiatric treatment). Somewhat understandable. The high school kid left the town because the mental anguish was too much for him. Understandable as well. What Iwant to know is: Who is suing the father for being to damn lazy to get of his ass to escort the kid across the street? Is it right to legally sue everyone else for damages done to YOUR kid when YOU should have been there in the first place? Wouldn't, or couldn't, much of this incident have been avoided if he assisted his child across..........?
5) This one many people know about......a man applying for a position on a police force in the California area is was denied application to uphold the law because......he scored to high on his IQ test, and was told he would be bored with his job..........What in the hell does this say about the other officers already working as policemen......??????
If you look, you will find many points similiar as these, and you have to ask yourself why the government is supporting lawsuits of these kinds, when common sense could have prevented so many of these "accidents". It does not seem logical. Think of it this way....you work your ass off, making a buck, and when you think all around is finally in place and you feel secure, Mr. Dumbass with no common sense comes along and sues you, taking what you have worked for during so long.
Moral to this tale: You can be a genius, make a million, and the idiot next door can take it away because he did not know that your coffee was too hot to touch, even though the cup was melting..............
To state this plainly, for I know someone out there is not going to realize this....."THIS IS MY OPINION".....I do not represent anyone else, and by the First, I have the right to express this feeling...... If you feel that the above applies to you and you feel offended, then maybe you need to re-evaluate your mental capacity for common sense.....You can put your protest to the above in the little box below..........BOX..................
